He married ELIZABETH KRIEGER, c1769. She was born in 1751 in Berks County, the daughter of Peter and Anna Magdalena Krieger. On 15 Nov. 1771, at Altalaha Church in Rehrersburg, Frantz and Elizabeth were sponsors for Elizabetha, daughter of Jacob Krieger, her brother. They had 7 children; the first two children were baptized at St. Daniel's, and the others were baptized at Altahala. (1) Maria Catherine, 1770-C1775 (2) George Peter,1773-1825 (3) Margaret Elizabeth (Wenrich) Umberger, 1775-1829 (4) Eve Elizabeth (Wenrich) Heckart, 1780-1867 (5) Maria Catherine, 1783-? (6)Susanna, c1785-? (7) Elizabeth, 1793-1793. Frantz was taxed in Tulpehocken until 1784. He was a soldier in the American Revolution, with service at Brandywine, Germantown, and on the frontier against the Indians after the Wyoming Massacre at Wilke's Barre. In 1784 the family moved fromTulpehocken to Linglestown, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, near Harrisburg. Here Francis bought a farm he named "The Running Pump Farm". A spring brought water to the house through hollow logs. Frantz deeded land for a church in 1792 that was known as Wenrich's Church. The church was known as St. Thomas United Church of Christ in 1975. This church has been a mecca for Wenrich reunions, and a marble monument to Francis was erected in 1923. Elizabeth died in 1824, and Frantz died in 1827. They are buried at Linglestown. Francis left a will naming Thomas Wenrich, a nephew, as executor. Legatees were children of his son Peter and four daughters.
