Ernest Emil Schultheiss was born Aug 23, 1896 in Bethany Twp., Gratiot Co., MI. He was the sixth of seven children of Frederick Julius Gottleib Schultheiss and Emma Pequegnat. He married Vernice Lepley on Dec 13, 1894. They had no children. He died on May 3, 1955 at the age of 58.
