Donald Alexander Leslie 1905 - 1991
Donald Alexander Leslie was born in 1905 in Banza Manteke, Congo, Africa, and lived there with his parents for 12 years. His father was a doctor, his mother a teacher, and both were Baptist missionaries. He was sent back to the United States in 1917, and lived with his sister Elizabeth and brother Theodore in the Fannie Doane Home for Missionaries’ Children (shown below) in Granville Twp., Licking Co., OH in 1920. In 1932 he married Virginia Bernice Branch, and they settled in Atlanta, GA.
